What to write in a first blog post ? You need ideas, concentrate stupid! Remember to think of your audience. Should I state that Iām excited?
Well, I am excited. Why? Because I finally managed to set up this blog after many years of contemplating and procrastinating with this project in a big way. Just to give you an idea, I actually reserved this domain more than 10 years ago. Every year, I’d read the invoice from my hosting provider (they’re awesome btw, please check them out if you’re looking for one, highly recommended) and go “Oh heck, another year already? How is that even possible? Again! I’ll definitely get started on my blog this year… for sure!”. Well, it took until 2023. Every year this blog would find itself as a loyal contender in my new year’s resolutions list. Not sure what finally sparked me to muster up enough motivation, courage and effort to actually get to this point, but hey here I am …. writing my first blog post!
And you’re reading it right now, so a hearty Hello š goes out to you, welcome to my little corner of the internet – really great you found it! There’s not much to see yet, besides this first post, so how about I share some of my ideas and plans for this blog with you:
- The domain name kind of gives it away, so I will be publishing news, reviews and other interesting findings on “Phototools” in the broadest sense. Cameras, drones, software, filters, charts… – if it’s a tool to make, take, view, optimize, process, store or share a photo (digital or analogue), I’ll write about it here.
- I hope to cover some of the roads less traveled by most other blogs on Photography, Image Editing software and so on. Call it “adding a personal spin”, if you will.
- Why the before mentioned topics? The last 30 years I’ve had the great privilege to personally and professionally enjoy the endless facettes of photography to quite some extent. Read my bio (yet to be published š) to find out about my journey so far.
- Videos are also on the top of my goals. Tutorials mostly, short and longer ones. The occasional drone flight, hopefully over interesting and picturesque locations.
So don’t be a stranger! I will be publishing news, blog posts, videos and the occasional product review here š¤.
